witjas4 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Hi, This is a 1:35 model of the Sturmgeschutz III ausf G, a German assault gun. This is very old Tamiya KIT no. 35014 from the 70s. I made it as a movable model. The additional parts are - the Friulmodel tracks and sprockets, couple of small accessories like grilles, towing cable, jerry cans, ammo boxes, supply carton box. WIP is here: The clip shows how does it run I invites you to see the rest of works on my site "about me" Edited August 16, 2023 by witjas4 Added video clip 51
Pig of the Week Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 The little dried fallen leaves are a brilliant touch.👍 3 1
Stef N. Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 That is a magic piece of model making. Great detailing.👏 1
Bullbasket Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 I don't know if you're familiar with the English saying about there being "many a good tune played on an old fiddle", but it certainly applies here. You've done a superb job on it. Nice work. John. 1
Tom W. Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 It is often happens that good models lose their qualities in close-ups, but this one gains a lot. Great work in every detail. 1

Carius Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 Excellent build and finish Great job with an old kit. Cheers from Brazil 1
Phil1960 Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 Wow! This is the proof no need for a ultimate superdetailed kit from 50/60 euro and over (plus photoetched parts, metal tracks and aluminium barrel and resin here and there) to make an excellent model. Top hat🤩 Ciao Filippo 1
Jasper dog Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Missed this first time around but glad its resurfaced! Outstanding work, the paintwork, weathering and general grime you've achieved is excellent. So much detail and everything looks just right. Absolute first class modelling! Cheers Darryl 1
