Hmmm

That is quite expensive I'd say!

The Zvezda one is half that on ebay and online stores.

Do you have any links or at least experience with this seller??

We' ve ranted enough about rising prices, but current Trumpeter/HB prices are beyond reason, with official mrsp set at 80€, better wait for logistical problems to subside from mid-late next year and with it main reasoning or dare I say( to larger extent) alibi for such prices to dissapear.

With Monogram and Zvezda Hinds in the market, where does Trumpeter's Hind stand in terms of detail and quality?

There is currently no first hand review on the Trumeter sprues, so we will have to wait. Their 1/35 Hind is just great in any respect IIRC (not sure it has the twisted fuselage though). The 1/48 kit is sadly no downscaled version as it looks.

The Monogram (rereleased by Revell some time ago) is in my eyes typical Monogram. The sprues date back to a time when Hinds were not easily available to western eyes so the kit is not overly accurate. The tailboom is some mm short, the "twisted fuselage" is not present and such. But it has nice surface details for the time (like rivets), and "detailed" engines, cockpit and such. You can see sprues and instruction images on Super Hobby page:

https://www.super-hobby.de/products/Mil-Mi-24D-Hind-D.html

Without lots of cut-and-shut you will not get an accurate Hind out of this. But I think it will look still nice for those who are not too deeply a Hind specialist?

The Zvezda (recently rereleased by Eduard in a special edition) is accurate but has no rivets and the interiar detailing is a bit low, so you should consider aftermarket help depending on your expectations.

I recently bought the Zvezda sprues from Eduard when they still had them as surplus from their special edition and I have the Monogram unstarted with some resin bits from Cobra Company (weapons and cockpit). I will build the Zvezda kit but am undecided with the Monogram at the moment.

The Eduard Special box has the parts for Mi-24D conversion, the Zvezda plastic and Trumpeter do not ( as it looks for now by the shown sprues) That is a Mi-24V!

If you have the Revell/Monogram, CMK has an update set that fixes most issues (short tail boom, short stub wings etc, but not the warped fuselage). Recently bought the Eduard special edition, and some Res/kit interior...

Now I still need to buy some time

Bring on a Hind A.

Same here! I love the look of the A - you could grow tomatoes behind that greenhouse windshield, although not the crop of choice in Afghanistan.

Just received my Trumpy Hind. These pix w/o any comment. That is left completely to your side and later (?!!) to Julien or somebody else in the review section.

Thanks for the photos. Does it come with 9M17 Fleyta (AT-2) missiles?

At least this one looks more like a Hind with some rivet detail unlike the Smooth Zvezda kit.

Emphasis on "look like", ok.  But not "is like" A plain surface is closer to embossed structure reality than representing this with engraved structures , in this case with holes. I know, an endless debate - until our beloved manufacturers come to conclude that reality  CAN REALLY BE REPRESENTED by using engraved structures as well as embossed ones. Side by side, Eduard gives a proof.
