Bill, this looks great!  I really like how you got the cammo under the wing, the non-standard cammo green just before the tail, and although I went to Syracuse, I really did get over myself and was really impressed with the tank paint over--well done🙌  Best, Erwin

She is looking bang on, Bill! You’ve really brought this little city to life!

Thanks, Erwin & Martin. I’m happy with how this one is coming along. I’m waiting for the W&N matte coat to completely dry (don’t want to muck it up with fingerprints at this stage). She should be finished in the next day or two.

Academy’s kit is really nice and you can pick one up, new, for less than $15. That’s a bargain! Of course, then there’s aftermarket… the SBS cockpit is really nice, but I bet one could forego that and instead do a bit of scratch-detailing, especially if it’s built with the canopy closed.

Stay tuned — I think after the Dragonfly is done, I’ll tackle the Wisconsin ANG’s A-10 Thunderbolt II.

The caption for this pic claims this is a Wisconsin ANG aircraft, but I have my doubts:

Just twigged that this one is actually from the IL ANG I believe. Build looks fab so far mate :)

I was up bright and early this morning, and after my first (two) cups of coffee went back to work on my Dragonfly.

Added the red and blue nav lights on the wingtip tanks:

Red anti-collision beacon behind the cockpit:

Retractable landing lights in the lower wing surface:

Added the instrument console, HUD, control sticks, and bang seats:

And, finally, glued the windscreen in place (you can also see the little light for the refueling boom reflecting my flash):

After the canopy glue I used for the windscreen cures, I'll turn her over and add the sticky-out stuff on the bottom.

And now, another nature photo from this morning . . . Snake in a Hole!

That's just inches from the step to my porch. I hope the mail lady isn't afraid of snakes

I finally brought this one across the line! All-in-all, a very satisfying build helped by this being a gem of a kit. I’ll be posting an RFI later, but until then, here are a few pics for your enjoyment:
