andy_AUT
I'm looking for reviews or infos regarding Trumpeters IS-1 and IS-2 kits in 1/35 (kit numbers 05587 and 05588). So far, I came across the following issues (link to the sources of this listing at the end of this post, as these are not my observations) : - Wrong road wheels (post-war version with 10 instead of 5 bolt hubs) - Wrong tracks (too wide) - Engine deck intake screens seem to be too long - Rear armour panel (should overlap with the engine deck, however seems to be flush with it; I wasn't able to find clear photos showing the problem.) - Engine intake screens of IS-1 and early IS-2 should only have the transversal stiffeners (source in the second link) I appreciate any further information you can provide regarding other inaccuracies or problems with these kits. Thank you in advance, Andy Link to sources: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/missinglynx/viewtopic.php?p=1467658#p1467658 https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/missinglynx/viewtopic.php?p=1443705#p1443705 Edited May 30, 2021 by andy_AUT Information regarding intake screen stiffeners added
Longbow
I had 5588 arrive yesterday, but I haven't looked at it yet. The Tamiya IS-2 should arrive early next week.
andy_AUT
It would be great if you could share your observations regarding both kits. Meanwhile, I've edited the original post with another info I came across regarding the stiffeners of the engine intake screens.
