Screech
Stellar Finish Navy Bird! Love the pairing with the Canadian Hornet, great scheme on both of them!
Terry1954
I came upon the WIP for this one in the early hours of this morning. I have no idea how I missed the original, but I spent a pleasant half hour or so catching up during my early morning tea and porridge routine, and what an enjoyable read I had. Love the scheme, love the aircraft, love the end result. Another masterpiece Bill! Terry
72modeler
Wow! From a Hellcat to a Hornet- what a classic scheme and markings! You have more courage/skill/profane vocabulary than I, Bill, to have managed to squeeze an Aires set into a kit! The best of the Centennial schemes, in my opinion, and you have pulled it off beautifully. Mike BTW- how's the back coming along?
Serkan Sen
It looks awesome Bill. When I finish my ongoing Flanker, Blackbird and Viper projects I am planning to build such special Hornet in 1:48 scale using Fightertown NAVAIR Centennial Tri-Tone decal. Thanks. It might have been an enjoyable half an hour for you, but it was an Anglo-Saxon winging several weeks for me. @#$%$@# Aires! 9 hours ago, 72modeler said: You have more courage/skill/profane vocabulary than I, Bill, to have managed to squeeze an Aires set into a kit! Methinks that might be a good subject for a new modelling book. Oh, my back is slowly getting better. Still doing the physio, and I'm able to walk around the neighborhood twice now. Plus, I've started pushing the darn lawnmower again. Arghh. 6 hours ago, Serkan Sen said: It looks awesome Bill. Thanks Serkan - can't wait to see this aircraft in quarter scale. Be sure to post a WIP. Cheers, Bill

kapam
An absolutely brilliant F-18! I love how the u/c bays have come up - clearly your hard work, grinding and sanding, paid off enormously.
