Looks to have come together nicely!

Those gunsights are slippery blighters arn't they, I did exactly the same thing as I was fitting mine. (Thankfully after 10min crawling around the floor I did find it).

Thanks Darryl! I had no such luck with my gunsight though!

Progress has been a bit slow of late, with work and warm weather getting in the way. So after setting up several fans and cooling units in the workroom, I was able to get the primer and pre-shade done today:

Aside from that, the main sub assemblies were completed:

I really like the decals on the fuel tank which read 'Keine Bombe!' ... 'not a bomb'. Made me chuckle. Apologies for the lighting, not ideal at this time of the evening. The propellor was painted with Tamiya XF-27 'Black Green' with some aluminium details. The yellow and blue are from MRP.

Anyway, hoping to get some paint on the fuselage tomorrow.

More soon and stay safe

Looking very nice Dave, the prop has turned out really well.

Thanks mate!

Had a bit of a marathon painting session today; the warm weather has sped up the already quick drying time of the MRP colours. The blue went on first thing this morning and left to dry (for a couple of hours I admit as I was out with the dog before 10am to keep him cool!). Once back, masked up the relevant areas and on went the Sandgelb. Only two light coats were needed and it dried rock hard in about 20 minutes. I had planned to use a mottling mask for the blobs of green but decided to spray them freehand using a new 0.15 needle and a PSI of 10-12. Worked well!

Once that was done, more masking was needed for the yellow nose and white fuselage band. Gun barrels, tail wheel, nav lights etc all painted. I've surprised myself how quickly this came together, must be a new record for me

Will try and get the exhausts painted tomorrow then it's ready for gloss and decals.

More soon and stay safe.

No hanging around getting paint on and looking good too!

The temptation of MRP shows its head again!!!

Cheers! You should definitely give MRP a go. They're perhaps a bit more expensive than other paints (£4.50-£5.00 per bottle) but over a coat of primer, I've constantly found them to be faultless.

Decals on. This scheme did not appear to have the full set of stencils applied - perhaps they were painted over?

All sealed in with another coat of gloss. Rudder and necessary etch actuators also fitted. Not much left to do other than a panel wash, flat coat, some weathering and add the five sub assemblies! Hoping to get it finished off over the weekend.

More soon and stay safe.

Calling this one done. Panel wash, a flat coat, some weathering and the bits and pieces added. Job done!

Fantastic build Dave, I’m seriously thinking about doing the second one in my box as a tropical variant.

Excellent build Dave, sorry I was not with you through the process. Has that level of weathering I like. Those MRP paints have come up really nice.
