JOCKNEY
This will be my choice for this GB. I haven't built an Amodel kit before, first impressions are a bit flashtastic if I'm honest. I will post pictures of the parts later. Good luck everyone Cheers Pat
Col.
Interesting choice Pat and I'm guessing the Amodel kit is the only game for this one.

Hi Col I think so, but as it's the one I have, it's the one that's getting built ! cheers Pat

trickyrich
very nice Pat, something a bit different for sure. Lucky it wasn't a triple fuselage beast....then it would have been the Bf-109-centiped!

Rich, very innovative a Tausendfüßler or maybe it would be a Verdreifachen or the boring universal in either language Trimotor. SAU
Nice one Pat. And you can always kitbash it with 2x Intech/Mistercraft G-12 fuselages, then you'll get a 4-seater instead 😉 Retrowings has released a newer AZ Models-based kit but I'm not satisfied with the solution there with only 2 landing gears and one radiator to each engine. Well, the Amodel is a bit "flashy" and a tip, at least with the normal F and G is to start sanding the underwing to half the thickness in advance with 3 days to go...
John Masters
Very cool Pat, as usual!
JOCKNEY
Unusually this kit appears to come preweathered Very comprehensive decals, fingers crossed they behave themselves Cheers Pat 8
Col.
Looks as if it needs a good scrub before kick-off

Prenton
Hi Pat Looking forward to this - both for the rather unusual aircraft...and for how you deal with THAT kit! Philip
PeterB
Hi Pat, This is perhaps inevitable given your 2 sets of twins - I will watch it with interest!. Pete

JOCKNEY
So having finished my 2 Builds in the Unarmed GB, it's time to start on this one. More later. Cheers Pat
JOCKNEY
Bit more progress Second fuselage didn't fit at all, note fuselage / wing overlap. Much cutting and scraping later I managed to lose one of the prop bosses, it flew off when I was blowing on it to check the prop still spun ! Looks like it's 1-0 to the carpet monster. GREG DESTEC
Great progress Pat. I didn't realise that one of the pits did not have a pilot in it 😮 where as the Twin Mustang did (I think). looking good 👍
JOCKNEY
Goodness me, this build had nearly slipped till last place ! It looks like artic camouflage ! Still have the mottling to do, and another canopy to mask. Any idea what colour the blooming great bomb is supposed to be ? The instructions say black, but I'm sure that isn't right. PeterB
Hi Pat, When I was researching bomb colours for my Ju 88A-1 conversion a year or so back I found that the bombs could be light grey (RLM02?), "Light Olive", or the same blue as the aircraft underside (RLM65 in that case). Almost certainly not black! Of course this is from a later period so I cannot be certain. On some of my recent kits they suggest RLM70 black/green so take your pick Pete Edited July 20, 2021 by PeterB
JOCKNEY
Some progress at last Thanks to @AdrianMF for the replacement prop boss, currently masking the canopy, which is not wanting to fit, I seem to be having problems with canopies at the moment. JOCKNEY
So I'm calling this one done. The mountain of decals was almost F4 Phantom in quantity, and blooming tiny. The original aircraft was irreparably damaged by an allied air-raid and as the Me262 was in the pipeline it wasn't replaced, unfortunately to my knowledge there are no surviving photos of the real one, so I'm in the clear colour choice wise, for once ! This is the first A Model kit, I've built, and I think it turned out well. I hope you like it. Cheers Pat

jean
Hi Pat, you are building so many kits, I never know where you are going to be! This kit is for Middle Ages Illuminati... More esoteric than that, you are burnt at the stake for sorcery! It looks absolutely crazy and beautifully built and painted. Imagine, if one 109 was a mission to take off and land, how fun would TWO 109s have been???? Great show! JR

Still have far too many started builds to finish but determined not to be beaten. What's next for you in the French Fancy GB ? It's a matter of honour for you after all cheers Pat
