Bill Davis
This is the first and only car model that I have built since I got back into modeling seven years ago. I fabricated the V shaped strap for the fuel tank. It has the correct magneto and wires and extended valve cover breathers. The wheels are correct for the 71 version of this car. I also added the fire extinguishers. The model, posed in front of a period magazine with the Blue Max on the cover.

busnproplinerfan
Halibrands on the fronts, blue looks bang on. Like these old drag cars. More into gassers but have a soft spot for these early ones.
TonyW
That takes me back a bit! It's a very nice looking model, and the magazine shot really does look good.

nearsightedjohn
Beautiful build of an early classic FC back when they looked kinda’ like the car that they were based on (Mustang, Camaro, Barracuda...). Contemporary funny cars (and most other drag cars for that matter) do nothing for me...I guess I’m just an old geezer stuck in my childhood ‘60’s 😁👨🏻🦳! The wrinkled rear slicks are very cool - were these included in the kit or are these after-market resin tires? Thanks for sharing!
Bill Davis
Nearsightedjohn, the wheels and tires are aftermarket.
