Steben
Hi Folks, this the status up till now. Two pictures because of different light. Next step is acquiring FS30318 and FS33448 paint (or chips), since these are very close based on their measurements. Steben
Some references to show how close these colours are to Dunkelgelb (variants) in the Chory Book. Of course, just as the colour sin the book are rumoured to look "dark", the SG seems dark as well, but this is only because of the white background and the small scale of the swatches. "Sinai Grey II" is slightly redder than DG 7028 var , greener than Grau 7027 and greyer than DG nach Muster. Of all colour groups/themes Sinai Grey resembles Dunkelgelb the most. Here some pictures with different ambient and background: Edited May 19, 2021 by Steben
Steben
Based on AK's (Michael Mass...) Sinay Grey 1 I got around some mixes. All are mixes of Revell 88 (RAL1011) and Revell 45 (RAL7003) and some with some 314 (RAL1001). But not yet perfect. Steben
I got very close. Short card = "1" (->1973) Long card = "2" (-> 80ties). They both miss something like "0,5% reddishness"... But very happy for now. Check the pictures above to see what I mean with difference between batches... very very close. The pictures that follow here are another proof of the fact different light situation can give different hue images. Full sun seems to completely eliminate the difference between the two.
