russ c
Hi Everyone, me again come to bother you with some photo`s of my latest effort My attempt at Hasegawa`s 1/48 `Dave` kit Finished in the markings of an aircraft attached to `Seaplane Tender Kamoi` 1938. But shown here, ashore for maintenance🙂 Built mostly from the box contents but with a few additions cobbled together......... ....as I`m to tight to buy the accessory kit to go with it. So had to make a rudder for the main float, cleat at the end of the fuselage underside and seat belts Rigging is a mix of invisible mending thread coloured using a black marker, paper soaked in PVA glue and bits of wire and rear gun sights from wire too Hope you enjoy the pic`s, thanks for looking Cheers Russ 50

obdl3945
Russ, I'm sure we have no objections to you 'bothering' us when you post photos of your handiwork like this... this is beautiful; such an elegant looking aircraft and you've done a lovely job with it. Â Very well done. Â Regards, Â Paul 1
Ed Russell
Nice job on the E8N1 - one for his brother @e8n2 to look at. I like the unusual camouflage.

Nice indeed, but not my scale. I actually have two kits for the E8N1/2. One is the old Aviation Usk kit and the other the more recent RS offering. Plan on doing one of them in the spurious FAA markings. Sky Keg
Russ.........I certainly did not expect something like this from you.  Not only does the Dave look good, all of the equipment around it complete the overall presentation to perfection.   Take a well deserved bow  Mike

Toryu
Excellent Russ! The early-war camo fits this dated float plane perfectly. Nice pictures, too.

woody37
Always look forwards to seeing your builds Russ, the way you get your weathering is superb, really brings them to life and this is no exception

Check Hannant's. They have the front and back views of the box for the E8N1 and one of the options is for one marked as if it belonged to the Royal Navy. I found confirmation of that particular aircraft in that scheme on-line but can't remember where right now. The article had at least one photo of it. Talk about violating the Geneva Conventions! 73north
World class ... painted with loving care  amazingly since 2000 this is one of the very , very few - new-tool 1/48 kits that Hasegawa have produced since then ( this came out in 2015 -and is the last new tool by them) got to admit I am a Hasegawa man , vast majority of my kits are by them . Hasegawa seem to do mostly re-boxes .
