Ford A 1931 1/16

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

model completed; some learnings taken, at the bottom of this post but over all it is nice. I like color combinatioin, interior outcome and look, engine details. exterior chromes, grill;  wheels are pretty fine. This car is just nice, funny cabrio for nice day.

Takeaways for improvement with next model:

- i have to find another way of door and bonnet mounting

- to consider the tickness of leather label, as the door doesn' close

- no spokes replacmenet if wheels are prepared with the same way (to tiny); it is difficult to keep them in place

- watch out for finger tips :-[ once is assembled and polished

- to improve tires painting in white

- still improve painting

- less polishing paste..

I will try to implement it into Lincoln Dietrich 1928, same scale, see you soon ;)

That looks good, despite there being those issues which you mention. I can't help with most of your points, but I got some cheap cotton gloves to handle my models after they've been polished and waxed for exactly the reason you mention (fingerprints).
