chameleon2009
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter of World War II, after the P-51 and P-47; by November 1944, when production of the P-40 ceased, 13,738 had been built,[3] all at Curtiss-Wright Corporation's main production facilities at Buffalo, New York. This aircraft was flown by Lt Coloanal Reed, Co of the 7th FS, 3rd FG Chinese-American composite wing at Liangshan China in August 1944. Reed finished the war with nine victories. The actress Ann Sheridan signed her name on the nose This is the 1/32 hasagawa kit which went together very well, just upgraded the cockpit with a resin seat, fabric seat belts and a more detailed cock pit, all painted with Tamiya acrylic paints, enjoy. Alan P
The finish might be a little overcooked for some, but this looks like an artist's work. Surprised it hasn't got more attention, but that's the internet, I suppose! Very striking model of a brutish but still appealing and underappreciated aircraft, well done 👍 Alan

Antti_K
Hello Mike, I've always liked P-40s and this is a real masterpiece! I especially like the worn paintwork and sharp details. Excellent work. Cheers, Antti
