dbostream
I have always used enamel when brush painting but lately I've been curious to try acrylic. Found some old cheap Humbrol Acrylic on the clearance shelf at my LHS and decided to try it out. But when I got home it turns out it had completely dried. Tried to poke what is left of it (less than half full) with a needle and it is just solid all the way through. Can it be saved or should I throw it away? ckw
IMHO you been spared a lot of pain and skip straight to binning without having to suffer trying to apply it and then throwing it away. This looks like the old style - I'm told the new stuff is much better, but I've yet to find an acrylic that brushes as well as an enamel. Black Knight
If its solid - bin it If its jellied - add methylated spirits or IPA: I've recovered numerous Humbrol and Citadel acrylics that way
dbostream
Thank you both, I will try to get some of the new stuff instead. The bottles on Humbrol's website look quite different.
