Julien
Luckily both made it down, the Cirrus activating its chute, looking at the Metro you wonder how they made it down http://avherald.com/h?article=4e74b6e5&fbclid=IwAR1a72htkvd0HRfVWRhhJVTSr8CGBKl5nHbVL1DFO http://avherald.com/img/key_lime_sw4_n280kl_denver_210512_1.jpg http://avherald.com/img/key_lime_sw4_n280kl_denver_210512_4.jpg 1

Jure Miljevic
Is there also a dent on Metro's vertical tail leading edge? Cheers Jure
Pete in Lincs
Wow. Thankfully no injuries. Good job the cabin was empty. That is one strong Airframe, with a damned good pilot!
gunpowder17
Wow.That Metro reminds me of a photo of a wartime B-17. Amazing it got back OK.
Alan P
They say the colour of fear is brown I can imagine the pilots' mental state when they realised they were going to hit, and then the hysteria that followed when they were still alive and still flying. Quite the shock, and the definition of a miraculous escape

ckw
Interesting to read some of the comments in the article with a negative view on the Cirrus parachute system - I'm old enough to remember a similar attitude against mandatory wearing of seatbelts in cars. Quite clearly the Cirrus pilot deliberately rammed the Metroliner knowing he could parachute to safety Cheers Colin
upnorth
The Metro comes from the Fairchild stable as I recall. The same folks that gave us the A-10, so maybe it shouldn't be surprizing that the Metro survived so well.
