Where do you go to to find out about new releases?

Hi all,

I was wondering what your 'go to' site is for AFV related announcements of new kits, aftermarket, etc? The Rumourmonger area here seems to be, how shall I put this, a bit biased towards aviation.

I used to love the PerthMilitaryModelling site (PMMS), but this has unfortunately become dormant (I believe due to ill health of the founder?). I haven't found anything equivalent, but maybe I just haven't been looking hard enough?

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

I look at The Modelling News https://www.themodellingnews.com/

Many manufacturers have email newsletters you can sign up for, and many stores have new item email alerts.

I get my regular Saturday night update from Hannants. Quite a handy guide to what has just come in and what is coming up.👍

Same as Das, The Modelling News, which is a very good site, lots of info on new releases plus they do build ups of those new releases, and I also look at unboxing vids on Andy's Hobby Headquarters on Youtube, which is a good way to get a general look/feel of any new kit releases, when you just want to see things like the overall quality of the kit plastic, that kinda thing.

Track link also have a new release section too.

Cheers Steve. I frequently check out Track-Link but have never noticed. Think I need a Specsavers visit.

Thanks Stef N. The only problem is that every visit to the big H comes with a credit card hit.

PMMS now have a facebook presence - not a patch on the old site though

That's interesting Circloy. I generally avoid Facebook like the plague, but I'll have to make an exception to check it out.

I like Andy. He's always got an 'exciting new kit' to show me. 😀
