My second build for the Unarmed Group Build is an Academy Tupolev Tu144S in 1/360 scale, painted as CCCP-77102 which was the aircraft that sadly crashed at the 1973 Paris Airshow.

The build was not the easiest, but it went quickly. Decals are rather inaccurate but surprisingly applied quite well despite being 30 years old. Just going to ignore the lack of underwing serials.... They aren't included. Or more accurately, overwing ones aren't but I put the underwing ones on the top of the wing because I'd rather have them missing underneath where I'm less likely to see it all the time. The blue stripes on the wing and underside of the front of the fuselage were painted because there are no decals no those either. Probably should have just spent a day or two designing my own to use...

Very nice work. A Tu-144 is a most welcome sight in every scale.

I never knew that Academy has one out.

👍

It hasn't been out for 30 years and for good reason, it's pretty rubbish

This would fit more or less my 1:350 war ship builds.

With foldable wings and missiles 😃

And probably VTOL to get off the deck 😂

Looks like a lovely little build, never seen this scale before, what length is it?  Good luck wit the 1/144 scale, are you using aftermarket parts for it?

It's probably about 15cm, I'll measure it later.

The 1/144 is using aftermarket decals and jetpipes to make the Tu144LL
