CliffB
1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost This is the 1/32 Pyro kit and represents the Silver Ghost from the motor museum at Beaulieu (as it looked in the mid '60s, when the kit was released). After some initial surgery to correct a twisted chassis, the kit was built OOB and was finished using a combination of mainly Humbrol enamels and Alclad. The build thread is here is you would like to see more. Cheers

2996 Victor
Airfix 1/72 Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat I'm calling this "completed" rather than "finished", as the building, painting, decalling and varnishing is all done, but I haven't managed to do any weathering or paint chipping yet. It'll probably sit gathering dust now and never again grace the work bench..... This has been my first GB and still I've taken it almost down to the wire! It also has the distinction of being my first completed model aeroplane in over 35 years But all-in-all, despite the final rush and the flaws, I'm very pleased with the final outcome. The WiP thread is here if you're feeling brave - there's more in it about our two cats than there is about modelling OOB with sole addition of Tamiya masking tape seatbelts. Painted with the following Vallejo Model Air colours: Upper surfaces 71.109 Faded PRU Blue Lower surfaces 71.298 M495 Light Gray (also interior "Grumman Gray") Cockpit interior 71.250 Bronze Green Sundry other colours from Vallejo, Tamiya and Mr Color Assembled almost entirely with thin CA, a first for me and something I'll definitely be doing again as I use far too much TET or MEK! Minimal filling was needed, mostly due to my cack-handedness. Confessions: The canopy isn't fixed; While sanding flats on the tyres, I've overdone it on the tail wheel, which needs building up and repainting; I managed to fit the engine slightly cockeyed, which meant I had to sand the cylinder heads to get the cowling to sit square; and I dropped my magnifier on it this afternoon, and broke of one of the wheel spindles. Mjwomack
Eastern Express (Frogspawn) Canberra. The build thread is here (if you really want to torment yourself) I know a poor workman blames his tools but this is probably one of the worse models I've ever wrestled. Ancient mouldings, warped plastic, dodgy decals and an indifferent painting guide were all part of the mix. I think the morale of the story is that it's true and that size isn't everything ; though it was a substantial lump for less than a tenner. Thanks to @PlaStix for hosting, in the event of cheapo part 2, I'll spend more wisely rather than just going large. Enough though, and here it is, in all it's beastliness...
JeroenS
Here's Airfix's Sd. Kfz. 7 tractor pulling the well known 88 mm gun. The kit's an oldy from 1967. but I must say most of the parts went together well. The track's road wheels were very flashy, the rubber band tracks not very attractive. I must admit there were times when I didn't think it would amount to much, which is the reason it's only just made the gallery, but it's growing on me now that it's finished. Some minimal weathering, time was short. The decals are still drying in fact. Ah well, it was not something I'd usually build but that's the fun of these GB's. On to the next one 🙂

PlaStix
heloman's Westland Scout AH 1, Borneo mid 1960s. Airfix kit bagged release... One of my purchases from the early 1970's, one bagged the other two in the card/blister pack and all three definitely under two Quid!. All three were chopped from the sprue and in one single bag. Some of the smaller parts had become quite brittle and were replaced. So removed the fuselage and tail boom strakes and replaced with stretched sprue, added the struts and pitch change rods tot eh gearbox and rotor head. Detailed the cockpit instrument panel, seats and added the pedals. I replaced the undersize engine with a C Scale part from the spares box. Decals were from Xtradecal. The base is made from long sosatie sticks to represent a jungle landing pad. Please like this build here: I have posted heloman's build here as he'd posted it in the Less Than Tenner GB Forum rather than in here. It was posted there before the deadline.
