That's looking really good Chris.

I'd like to know how you got a real Hurricane apart and on your bench though.

Cheers,

Alistair

😄 Thanks Alistair,  that's very kind, if only , crikey imagine SWMBO's face as I dragged bits of Hurricane into the lounge😄

😄Thanks Keith, every day's a learning day😉 really chuffed with how it is turning out.

I have been working on the stbd side and have completed the big drum thing behind the seat, the handle on the cutting matt in front with 0.1mm wire wrapped around for the handle and some odds and sods to add some interest, have now also added the lever on this side too just adding the glue to make the mushroom top to it at the mo and need to add some bits to the plasticard bits.

Hi all

More progress on the cockpit, the bits on the Stbd side have been added and painted andcthe large diameter pipe added, this was made from some copper electrical wire innards from household electrical wire, the union in yellow is post it note strip , plasticard unions and the insulation around the pipe is paper towel from work as not too far off the colour, two smaller pipes are .45 brass rod, just got to paint up the union and the pipes

Thanks Roger, yes I love finding the different bits and bobs to use, I have hoarded loads of bits and bobs knowing they will be handy one day😉 I like to think that I'm working my way up to scratch building a model one day!!!

You certainly seem to be heading in that direction. 🤞

Those extra details from post it notes, paper towel and household wire are excellent and very inventive. Your scratch building skills are superb! 😀

Thanks Richie,  it is pleasing to use all the different materials , the electric wire is great for pipework on locomotive models too.

I think I will have a go at a scratch project soon ish!!!

Chris,

That pipework is looking just the ticket, and a lovely fading effect on the Seafire - look forward to seeing the EDSG going down!!

Thanks Roger,  I will be able to close up the Sea Hurricane today  so hopefully some of my hard work will be able to be seen inside.

Also may be able to get some of the EDSG too.

The mojo tank is clearly full to brimming and you are firing on all cylinders again. The Hurricane cockpit looks just like the real thing to me and the Seafire is wonderful. 👏

Sterling stuff Chris,

Nice work on the insert.

I know how scary a moment that can be.

Looking forward to seeing the EDSG.

Cheers,

Alistair

Thanks Alistair,  yes pleased with the insert too.  I have now glued the fuselage halves together  now too. Might well get some EDSG on later.
