"You're suffering deja vu again dear"  might be an appropraite line ?   :wicked:

😄 not sure that would wash this time Rob, I would certainly be in for it.   I have had a fleet Finch, VC10 tanker, the Airfix Gannet and a third Beau so better not push my luck any further, all bar the Finch were delivered when SWMBO was at work so they are in I have had those for ages stash😉:wicked:

Hi all

More Beaufighter progress. Canopies fitted Small intakes hollowed out wingtip lights, landing lights and ailerons fitted.

One coat of Colourcoats Sky blue painted underneath,  thinned it out and impressed with the coverage for the first coat

That Beau is looking super Chris, coming along really well!

Seafire 'pit bits are none too shabby either!

Keith

Thanjs Keith very pleased with the Beaufighter,  does look good with the Merline engines.  The Seafire pit is coming on well now, I have drilled a hole in the seat back for the harness and cut the elevators and horizontal tailplanes as they were the older style ones.

Thanks CC very kind.   The Beau is very nice, really pleased with it, just polished the wingtip lights so now can move onto paint .  This one will be EDSG, DSG over Sky blue.

Crikey yes page 100, wow, never done a thread this long before.

Thanks

Your hairy stick application is as perfect as always. What did you thin it with?

Lights, landing and wingtip, look a treat!

Thanks Charlie, very kind.  I use Colourcoats Naptha thinners in theirs andcthe Humbrol paints, very nice to work with.

The landing lights are the Marabu PE lights and I went out into the garage this morning to polish the wingtip lights as don't like sanding resin in the house.

Will look good under a coat of Klear.

Also corrected the elevators although I did mess them up to start with, now rebuilt and sanded smooth, just need to scribe in the panel lines.

Pleased now with them.

Thanks for looking

This is shaping up to be something special. Chris.

I started and read through this entire thread at work today to stave off the boredom and I'd forgotten half the stuff.

:wow:

Cheers,

Alistair

Crikey thanks Alistair,  crums you must have been really bored😄 I appreciate that, I sometimes go back over it just to remind myself.

Hi Chris. Sorry I somehow fell out of the habit of following and posting on BM of recent, but the upside is that I have a lot of catching up on this thread to look forward to. Your Seafire III looked like a real cracker. Those Merlins have gone on beautifully, seems whenever I make these kinds of conversions, it takes all of three swipes with a file and suddenly there are gaps everywhere and props pointing off at all funny angles.

Did I hear Gannety noises somewhere?

Thanks Andy, hope you are well.  Pleased with the Seafires  and there is another one on the go too.  The Beau is going well, thanks, I have the early set from CMK too but I over sanded that one myself🙄 fortunately I was able to get the late conversion from Mark on here so saved the day for the Beau.

There could be some Gannets in the pipeline, with the New Airfix one and a couple of 72nds too, not sure when yet though.
