Hi all

Some more progress on the Beaufighter

Some scratch bits for the inside from Sprue, plasticard and brass Rod,also added some trim wheels from a WW1 PE set by Brengun.  Will get the bits painted up tonight and will assemble the fuselage hopefully.

Won't bother with any more as doubt it will be seen in this scale.

Great work there, Chris.  As much as I’d like to be in any informal GB I don’t have a slot in the program for this one.  I’ll stay on the side lines and encourage the cool kids on the inside 😊

Thanks Mark,  fingers crossed it will go together later. My Sovereign Hobbies paint order arrived today too so now have the underside paint  too.

Thanks Mark, very kind.  I thought I would join in with another Beaufighter when Roger gets his one delivered.  So progress may slow on this one  depending on the deadline he gives.

Thanks guys

Thanjs Alistair, it went together well, although there was some slight warping I did it a section at a time.

Some more progress too, I cut the two kit seat mounts amd added the PE frame/Adjusters for the seat, pedal straps and control grips.  Seatbelt to be added then will get it all joined together, although this might be tomorrow now

Chris,

Looking very nice - I do like your extras! Mine should be delivered this week - I'm thinking about a 455 Sqn airframe. Aussie and Dallachy - it ticks all the boxes!

Thanks Roger, very pleased with the cockpit so far will look suitably busy once the floor is installed.  It's a lovely kit so far, you will enjoy it when it arrives, better find my other one and get ready to start. Got no heating today as boiler is not working so might end up having a day of waiting at home for the engineer. So might get some modelling done?

Those little extras are truly brilliant.

Nice stuff.

Sorry to hear about the boiler, it -3C here at the moment hope it's nowhere near that with you.

I don't think i'll be venturing out to the garage today.

Fab progress, Chris, the cockpit parts all look superb!

Sorry to hear about your boiler, hope it's an easy fix.

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark  very pleased with the cockpit.   Rubbed down the fuselage joins and not much filler needed which is Great.

No heating still, it's okay at the mo though.

Thanks Alistair very kind.  we are currently at 7 degrees outside and the house is very insulated following the loft conversion so a couple of heaters and extra layers will be okay, new part will be fitted to boiler on Monday. The fan PCB has had enough and given up🙄

Thanks guys

Ooooooo @Dunny Roger, I have dug out the Beau and some reference material so hopefully will be ready to start when you are fella, I have another PE set for that one too, which is great, must have forgotten I got that . I am gonna have to get another Beaufighter though as I have seen the overall yellow and black 21 TT in RAAF service on the decal sheet so need to build that one too!!! The Domestic Authorities will be after me 😬

Thanks Charlie,  yes it's a bit chilli, it said 7 degrees,  but it did feel cold, am sat here in two fleeces with a hood up, that is keeping me warm so far.  Looking forward to it being fixed and a hot shower too.

Thanks guys

Well I'm sure to a man of your experience you'll find a way.  Something along the lines of  "But I've commited to this GB now and I couldn't possibly let people down" perhaps?  😇

I know you were probably referring to the yellow one, but as long as you are suitably vague about how many are in the GB it should cover it.     :wicked:

We're here to help ......       .......entirely selfishly of course 'cos I'd love to see you do the TT version.  :yahoo:
