I'd say that's looking very good indeed for a first coat, Chris! Your brush-painting skills are legendary :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:She'll be all camo'd up before we know it!

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark, they usually look horrid with the first coat but it flowed from the brush well with some Colourcoats thinners. Just got to be careful avoiding the stripes now!!!

Haven't you got any masking tape Chris? Would make life a lot easier & less stressful...!! :)

Keith

😄Thanks Keith, yes it certainly would but will leave a ridge so trying to cheat that, it is working so far. Here's the second coat, third one will go on tonight, then the weathering can start.

Looking very nice, Chris.  The patience you show in your paint process really adds to the results, it’s a modelling attribute I’m very short on and I admire your approach enormously.

Thanks Mark that very kind, when you brush paint,  you have to develope a patient side otherwise the paint lifts off if I go over it too soon🙄 That's why I build a few at a time really and it helps keep the mojo levels up too.

I'm always in awe of brush painting skills. Something I lost over 20 years ago when I was given an airbrush.

Amazing work, Chris, your painting skills are astounding! The post shade if the panels really adds a whole extra dimension to the finish, doesn't it?

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark, pleased with it, can't wait to start the EDSG now, the post shading really starts to bring to life.

Cheers,

Thanks Charlie, luckily the family went out to the nearest designer outlet earlier so it gave me a couple of hours extra modelling tonight so was able to crack on with some models.

Now airbrushing scares me, I love the effects that you airbrushes can achieve, some of which can't be done with a brush. I do enjoy the painting stages.

Thanks guys

Chris

Brilliant paintjob!

Keith

Thanks Keith , was hoping to start the EDSG tonight but don't think I will have time.  I really enjoy trying to achieve a decent paint finish.

Thanks

Chris

I'm not surprised - 3rd coat looks superb after the post shading!
