Hi all

Progress on the Sea Gladiator,  struts are on and although it looks squiffy onbthe port wing rear, it's not the all line up.  The upperxwing has its sky grey and DSG on will start the EDSG tonight.

Then rigging. I have tge AIMS PE rigging but previous aremptscto use this type of rigging have always failed as I am sure to muck it up🙄

Also just started  32nd scale SH Westland  Whirwind fighter.

The big news however is the arrival of the newest member of the family,  Hugo the Porsche 914

Roof on

And off

He is a bit ratty, but incredibly solid and has had a lot of money spent on his engine with a full rebuild 6 years ago and various bits sorted, it sounds quite loud but has a 914 sports exhaust,  I plan to leave it largely as I love yge patina  where tge sand in Nevada has take  the varnish off the paint.   I will get back on road and enjoy for a few years before I decide whether to fully restore.

Very very pleased.

Thanks for looking and sorry for the thread drift.

Gladiator is coming along very nicely indeed Chris!

And Hugo looks like he's going to be a whole lot of fun! Might be a bit ratty, but if he lived in Nevada for much of his life he should be rust free. :)

Enjoy!!

Keith

(and no, I'm not jealous, not even a teensy weensy bit. Nope, not jealous at all..... 🤣 )

I think in this case that most reasonable people will forgive you! 🤣

The Sea Glad is looking absolutely super, and very exciting to hear a Crikey! in the offing,

Thanks Roger, really chuffed with how the Sea Gladiator is progressing.

Very very chuffed with the 914, Hugo.  The whole family are very pleased with him, my son wants to drive it😄🙄

I am a very lucky boy to have got this car.  I am just off out to go to Appledore car show.

Thanks

I told him 40, to give me a few extra years😉😄

Show was great Keith, saved myself £260 odd quid on a replacement rear view mirror for the 914 as paid £3 for a similar one which looks similar from another type, bonus!!!

I have lots of photos

Thanks Keith

The rigging looks terrific Chris - what did you use for it?

Nice work!

Keith

Thanks Keith,  pleased with it,  I used Prym knitting in elastic as it has a flat profile. I was going to attempt to use the PE rigging but might give that a try on the Mk1 I have in the stash.

I will get some paint on the rigging later and see what it looks like.

Thanks
