Still talking cars Chris, are you going to keep the Veedub?

Keith

Hi Keith, yes definitely,  the Fastback is staying, that way the kids have a car each when I give up or worse.  Or if things become desperate in years to come we have some money in the cars.

Gorgeous seafire and amazing engine... a real car fixed up, too... and a few other planes coming along!

Please tell me what "vitamins" you're taking to power this intense productivity!

Thanks David, I like having a few on the go. 😄 Vitamins, like it, getting the car done was a great catalyst really, made me enjoy getting on witb things again in the evenings after work and for some reason I seem to have more energy.  I have been taking a walk first thing in the morning too, before I get to my desk, this is great to clear the head.

Thanks

Once the glue has set on the lever knows I can paint it all and close up.

Neat work Chris -and a very crowded workbench with some interesting projects in view

Chris

Thanks Chris, pleased with the way it has turned out.  Yes it is acrowded bench, the motorised chassis is for a small Prairie OO gauge locomotive and the tank is the Airfix Cromwell, which is si far a nice little kit.

I am going to change the nancave around though and install a new and bigger bench so hopefully will bemuch better and more spacious.

Thanks

Chris, I just caught up with this after a bit of an absence.  That engine was beautiful!  Very nice work there.  The Sea Gladiator cockpit is very nice too!

I loved seeing the shots of the VW.  My dad had a '71 Squareback that I wanted in the worst way, but he sold it a couple of years before I got my driver's license.  The last I saw of it was about 6 years later when it was in the yard of a body shop that I'd taken my car to.  When I asked, they said it was on it's way to scrap as it had been in an accident and the owner didn't want to pay to fix it.  I was newly graduated from high school and had practically no money, so I couldn't rescue it -- because I definitely would've!  The interior of your fast back has so many of the same components as my dad's Squareback.  It was fun to see the pictures.

Thanjs Opus999,  that's very kind, I have to say it is a great kit so far and the AIMS engine is great to build too.

I do love the Fastback and don't want to ever let it go, it gets so many smiles  waves and comment where ever we go.

Oh man sorry to hear that about the Squareback.  They are so cool, what a shame about the timing of the sale and the accident too.  At least you got to enjoy being carried around in it.  They really are great cars. Hope you can also remember the happier memories of the car.

Thanks

Chris

Thanks Roger, well chuffed with it, it's starting to come together now, once I have sorted the PE bits on the wings and drilled the rigging holes will go together quite quickly hopefully.
