Thanks Opus999, very pleased with it, just been looking at what I can do with the undercarriage doors for this one as they have no interior details at all so going to take a bit longer than anticipated 🙄 Thanjs Chris

Very pleased with the Beaufighter so far. Thanks Chris

Chris Thanks Chris, very kind. I do have the Nimrod still to finish, the Seafire and a Sea Harrier that I do a bit of every now and again, but I am thinking might do a Sea Gladiator possibly I also have a Firefly which is another candidate??? I also have some Lynx Helicopters to do too🤔 Chris
bigbadbadge
Hi all Now that the Dallachy Beaufighter is finished I wanted to get back to this thread. Work recommenced on the SH Seafire III It was a bit of a so and so to get the fuselage and wings together and required some fettling. I applied some decals to the Beaufighter, they are slightly too big looking at the High Planes decal instructions I found online. I decided to use them anyway although I narrowed the 8 and R on each side to match the letters better. Tge only trouble is they are tge wrong colour. So painting began with a fine brush First coat of Humbrol trainer yellow Second coat is Colourcoats RAF and FAA yellow I have added just a few of the stencils as the image of the front of the real aircraft showed no stencils so decided to leave off nearly all stencils. Serial numbers added too. Exhausts and props and undercarriage being prepped now. Thanks for looking Chris

2996 Victor
The Seafire is coming along very nicely, Chris, and the Beau is looking gorgeous. Great work on the codes, too, we're you a sign-writer in a previous life, by any chance? Cheers, Mark 2

I was a draughtsman using pens before the days of CAD and have dabbled with a few signs over the years. For mates though as not a sign writer by trade done in payment for work carried out by them on my car. Chris
