FRO
During my research for my f-15 projects i found 3 known types of wheel hubs for the main gear: F-15A/B: https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-F-15A-Eagle/6115941 F-15C/J: https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-F-15C-Eagle/6367819 F-15E/I/K: https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-F-15E-Strike-Eagle/6382577 All wheel hubs can be found in different scales on the aftermarket. But there seems to be a new player in town. On actual photos of the last years some F-15E are fitted with a new hub: https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Air-Force/McDonnell-Douglas-F-15E-Strike-Eagle/6400727 I found them on different aircrafts and different locations. The new F-15EX ist also fitted with the "new" ones. https://aerobuzz.de/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Boeing-F-15EX-Eagle-II-Roll-out-Eglin-AFB-210407-F-OC707-0206-Ko.jpeg Can somebody confirm this and tell me more, please? Is this a new upgrade program or only a light weight for training? From which year on the hubs were used? Did somebody found an aftermarket offer with this new hubs? Beside that, the GWH F-15E/I kits in 1/72 scale did not offer the correct wheel hubs. They look like the C/J hubs but have larger diameters (diameters seems correct for F-15E). Thanks in advance Falk Edited May 5, 2021 by FRO correct link format
