A few recent builds: Halifax B Mk.III, Fw190D, Gladiator, Corsair F4U-1A

Recommended Posts

Not posted some of these completed builds that I have done over last few months so thought I would post as a group. Enjoyable trouble free builds all round, with exception of the Gladiator rigging - total nightmare and will not be in a rush to do another biplane but happy with end result but it took hours 😂

Beautiful job on all four builds. Love the Halifax with the ground crew shot, gotta build me one of those sets to pose with my Mk II Lanc. I struggled with rigging the 1/72 Airfix Glad as well, learned that I rig EZ line best when I pre-bond eyelets and tie to them. I tried CA bonding the EZ line directly to the wings/ struts and made a mess of things.

Very neat and proper models!

Inspired, and inspiring, modelling. The light emphasis of the Corsair panel joints look excellent; I think that the movable surfaces hinge gaps would've looked more convincing in dark blue-grey, though.

Kind regards,

Joachim
