Hello, today I want to present the first photo of the details of one of our current projects Lemkits at 1:32. Soon I will announce these models, but for now I think many people know one of these planes.

None of the above. The spinner looks Soviet or Japanese (Hucks starter clutch claw), but the engine is neither Tumansky nor Zuisei. Su-2 and Ki-46 engines (paradoxically both) are derived from the Gnome Rhone Mistral design with a single valve gear operating the pushrods for both cylinder rows (i.e. the rear ones are obviously tilted). Moreover, the Soviet M-85/86/87/88 (like most of the original French GR-14K) turned the other way around.

It is also not the Nakajima Sakae, because there the entire valve gear of the rear cylinders row (i.e. the wheel and almost vertical pushrods) is placed deeper (behind the rear cylinders).

As the engine is 99% Shvetsov M-82/ASh-82, the Su-4 (Su-2 M-82, of which less than 60 were built) seems the most likely. But then the spinner should have different proportions - larger diameter and shorter length (as in La-5, where the spinner is almost conical).

Cheers

If not Dinah (Ki 46) then maybe Sonia (Ki 51) ? ki51-type-99-sonia.gif

BTW, the G-R Mistral turns both L or R (two variants) as in case of Potez 63...

Maybe the engine is that much precisely done...

Add me to the Su-2 camp.

Even though the cowling looks nothing like the Zvezda version, it seems that both are correct.

Rooting through the images it's apparent that they went through a few iterations throughout their service life...

Edit - prop rotation is still problematic, but as already said - if it's an M-82 powered version that would be a likely explanation

What about the back (rear) side of cowling? There are cuts for multi exhaust pipes like happens in some late Dinah and in Su-2 it is straight all around with only one cut for single exhaust pipe on starboard side.

Here is Dinah III with both small multi exhaust pipes and clutches  in spinners

Everything is clear so - it will be the Dinah captured by the Russians in Manchuria in 1945 and re-engined with ASh-82s.

Today I want to present a photo of the details of the project on which we are currently working.

Some time ago I posted a photo of the engine and hood, it's time to demonstrate some basic details and clarify what kind of aircraft it is.

Your attention is the 1:32 Su-2 with the M-82 engine - a Soviet short-range bomber of the beginning of World War II and the Great Patriotic War. The first plane of Pavel Sukhoi was created in his "own" design bureau after emerging from the shadow of Tupolev.

At the beginning of the war, these aircraft took on the enormous burden of fighting and were often used as attack aircraft without fighter cover, suffering huge losses.

Nevertheless, this in many ways an interesting aircraft left its mark on the history of aviation and actually became the ancestor of the family of Soviet aircraft under the name "Su"

Hello friends, clients and colleagues. I would like to present the result of a 5-minute test assembly of our new model Su-2 (M-82 engine) at 1:32. For those who own the IL-10 model, there are several photos for size comparison.

For me personally, the Su-2 is the plane that carried me into the history of aviation. A book in black binding with gold embossing about the fate of Pavel Sukhoi and his design bureau, these are pleasant memories from my youth. Cool))

Quite unusual to see a newly released model going to the highest bidder?

If you bid, you'll receive an offer at that price for the kit, even if it's the lowest bid, I've bought a couple of their kits doing so.

all auction participants are sent a "second chance offer" at the price at which they made a bid. Now the model is already sold at full price.
I create these auctions for offers to regular buyers with a small discount and free shipping.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am curious about he painting scheme(s). I have just finished mine Su -2 M82 in 1/72, I wanted to build one on skis but I have not found any single photo from unit on skis. The existing one all were just from trials of prototype.
