resized_f8b94afd-e340-4b00-b4ee-6b79bbe7This will be my second entry to the group build. It’s a very simple but nice kit only one sprue and a decal sheet so will probably go together very easily.

More to follow.

This is the 2nd Flivver build on the go, a plane that has completely passed me by until last week!

I bought one of these just about a month ago.

Maybe I should join in and make it a 'hat-trick'

I'm thinking of building mine with the full span flaps

My decals have cracks in them so I suggest you check yours carefully

I have a cunning plan. I will photocopy them before I use them and if needs be I can photo the copy onto decal paper.

I think I’ll also take a mold if the Anzani cylinders too.

Great idea Mark, my decals were cracked on the underwing serial number and Ford badge.  They were the only ones that were affected and were easily fixed. The decals went on beautifully and a small amount of Microsoft was all that was required.

The Kit goes together very well.

Good luck with your build.

I didn't realise that you do kits as well, more used to seeing scratch built jobs from you! This looks like a neat little build of an esoteric subject.

Great to see.

I probably do two or three kits for every scratchbuild, eg I’m scratching the Oertz, the Swalliw and the Alcock atm but also building an Airfix Skyhawk, the Flivver and a Lindbergh GeeBee, I find sometimes it’s nice to just build a kit oob instead of all the complexity of a scratch build.

resized_5a8563ec-3973-4af2-951d-e06f633dStarted painting, I’ll brush paint the blue then use a rattle an for the silver. I’ve also decided to replace the kit undercarriage parts with brass rod as they are pretty flimsy and I’ve nearly broken them getting them off the sprue.
