Zigomar
Well! SH reworked the old mould of the Reggiane 2000 from Classic Airframe! So far so good. But not so good! They have improved some weak points with taste, like the cockpit, undercarriage, but not what was so wrong on the CA, structure lines and most of them are wrong, and all the visit hatches underside, and the flaps so representatives of the Reggiane fighters. That, in turn, means a lot of work, and if you do the rivets like I did, more work! The model is allowing you to do a Serie 1 aircraft with the long transparent hood, but I was on a go for a Serie 5 with the humpback! So here is a list of the modifications I did! - Sand smooth the wings and rescribe the panel lines using Ali e colori plan - riveted the kite, I have used the Silhouette tool to have the numerous oval shaped hatches for the undersides. -used a left over from a previous built of a CA Re2000 to use the resin humpback - Vacform the sliding part of the hood - U shaped Albion Alloy used for the cockpit rails -Shorten the U:C legs by 2mm, not to have a Stork like stance! - Scratchbuilt the prop pitch unit behind the spinner And that's all folks! The plane is from the 377° Squadriglia based in Trapani in 41, main duty being Convoy escorts. The camo base is Giallo Mimetico 3, with random blotches of Verde Mimetico 2 and Marrone Mimetico 2. underside is Griggio Mimetico. All markings but stencils are made with masks.
