reini
Special Hobby 1/72 CAC CA-9 Wirraway Wirraway is an Australian variant of the NA-16. Over 700 were built and it was used mainly as a trainer but also as a fighter. Kit: Special Hobby CAC CA-9 Wirraway (SH72194) Scale: 1/72 Paints: Vallejo Model Air, Vallejo Metal Colour, Hataka Red Line Weathering: Flory Models Wash, Tamiya & Ammo Mig weathering products Quite the trouble free build, done in a week. Camo colours were based on info on Special Hobby's instructions that this specific airframe could have been painted in sea camouglage - but apparently that is outdated info. So should have been your normal RAAF green and brown camo. Done for Texan/Hardvard STGB WIP:

dogsbody
Nice! You don't see too many Wirraway models out there. A small question: wouldn't the prop tips be painted yellow? I admit that I don't know a lot about Wirraeays. Chris

Reini, I looked at as many period Wirraway photos as I could find- not museum or restored examples, and they all had yellow prop tips. easy enough to fix, but your model also could depict an aircraft that had its prop serviced/re-balanced and was awaiting its yellow tips. That being said, I agree with what the others have said- it's a very nice model! Hyvaa tyota! Mike 1
reini
@72modeler Kiitos Quite a fast job to give it yellow prop tips, probably do that at some point.
