NoSG0 Posted April 20, 2021 Share Posted April 20, 2021 I do not have the system to run DCS. I can only play offline on low and even then it sometimes drops to single digits FPS wise. But I am really enjoying the FREE A-4 Skyhawk. It has clickable cockpit controls/buttons, and looks very nice to me. Version 2.7 of the game has added some really lovely clouds and other things. If you dont have the game yet, but want to try it and the FREE A-4 be warned, the game is a large d/l. I find that the game loads faster from an SSD. Speaking of GPUs, I read that the GTX-1050 TI is making a comeback. A 4 year old card that looks to be more expensive than it was when initially introduced. Well, I think that there are some folks with high priced used cards on auction sites who will eventually have to drop their prices. I for one will wait. I hope that you can find a good hotas at a regular price. Just madness. I cant imagine trying the game with an xbox controller. I picked up a RAZER and VIVE Cosmos combo over Christmas and launched the DCS F-14 sim. I think I crashed about 18 times from turning my head around in 'wow' and from instinctively trying to reach out all over the place to press buttons and pull levers. The other time I crashed was from trying to land on a carrier deck while also going 'wow'. As well as a HOTAS setup I also wish I could have a pair of haptic feedback gloves. I looked through the user skins and closest I could see is possibly maybe a 145 sqn machine? A spitfire free mod would suit me just fine, but not likely.
