Another Vintage Aircraft Crash - Looks like an Avenger to me

Recommended Posts

I’m sure it’s repairable. To bad all the guys that did these repairs are gone now. Interesting how people just stand there and take pictures.

Sea water and aluminium (not to mention any magnesium etc that might be present too) are not the best of mixes. I suspect it will take an awful lot of work to get it back to flying condition.

If he didn't climb out of the cockpit asking what year it was and who won the war, then it was the biggest opportunity missed ever!

Should have asked if anyone knew where the rest of Flight 19 were.

Not to mention not getting the H*** out of Dodge when a misfiring (what - nobody paying attention?) TBM is coming at you.

To be fair, even when running properly, the engine on an Avenger does sound rather like a bag of spanners.

My son was there and it looked like a good show.

I'm usually there at this time of year too - but Covid. 😒
