1/48 Airfix Lightning F.2A

Recommended Posts

A belated RFI, for a model I finished last month...

It was part of the recent 'Interceptors' GB and the build thread is here if you want to see it come together.

I took advantage of the sunlight this morning and grabbed some shots - hope you like them!

It was a great kit to build and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

As ever, comments or critique are welcomed!

The photos make the main legs look splayed out. Hoping they’re not.

Unfortunately they are - I think I knocked one this morning during the shoot.... I will try and fix it later...

It looks wonderful and this is my favorite marking scheme in this kit.

Amazing model....and perfect photography. Nothing better than natural light pictures!

That's a lovely looking Lightning,  great scheme too.

Thank you for all the kind comments. This scheme was the obvious one for me to choose from the three provided in the kit, just because it had a splash of colour. Natural sunlight certainly enhances the nmf too!

Great looking Lightning sir!   She looks fantastic sitting in that sunlight. :clap2:

Thanks Gary. It was the sunlight which finally spurred me into action to get the photography done!😄

Very neat work. I like the nmf, it's got that oxidised worn look to it.

Cheers Gazza. The oxidised look was a side effect from spraying in cold conditions... It works, but I won't do that again unless I'm planning on a weathered looking machine!
