And the 2021 (or 2022 or later...) most original kit will be: the Zoukei Mura 1/32nd Messerschmitt Bf.109... Sigh

When I saw this topic in the bigger rumourmonger overview, prayed it was Tamiya, but ZM are a good company too, right? What's not to like about choices like this? nobody is being forced to buy :)

1/32 109's and 190's are proven sellers, (proven sellers in any scale) have plenty of each in my stash too, but if a really state of the art 1/32 one turn up like Tamiya or even this ZM kit, all bets are off and the redundant ones get sold or given away, we only live once, such is life.

Although my BM nic is One 48 and indeed that is my preferred scale just now, still have a soft spot for 1/32 WW2 fighters. WW1 too in 1/32, even bought a HK Lancaster in 1/32 recently because of a passion for the aircraft and its history ... but I would love a really good 1/32 OOB uber detailed 109 or 190 ... can you imagine if it were Tamiya who released a new tool 1/32 109 of any variant, they would be highly popular IMHO and we would all be positively drooling in anticipation, sometimes we don't mind paying a bit more for OOB quality ... I certainly don't 👍

Fair play to ZM, hope its a good un, my preference is a 109 Emil, but happy to see any variant.

I get your point but,AFAIK Dragon's 1/32 109s are state of the art kits and probably the best 1/32 109 kits around. Amazing detail and great fit.And when they were available, they cost a third of what a ZM 1/32 109 will cost,if prices are the similar to their previous 1/32 kits. You can always say that ZM 1/32 kits have a full interior etc etc,but all of that will be hidden in the end, unless you build it without the exterior. I also get ZM's choice, considering sales numbers. But there so many other aircraft they could have made new 1/32 kits of. The 190 yes,its appreciated, but not the 109. Maybe a great P-40,Hellcat or any other WWII USN or japanese aircraft apart from the Zero. And any of the ones I mentioned would sell a bunch, like their Ki-45 ou HS-129 sell.

They will be out of my price range no doubt but good on them, if they cover the A-D, F and later G's and K-4 they will do very well as the Hasegawa one are getting long in the tooth and harder to find while the Trumpy ones have their own issues,

I just want to add that there is room for the early variants, in particular those that served in the Spanish civil war.  Would love a D model or E-1.  Anyway I wish them the best, they should all sell very well - they put out great product!

Excellent. Finally a decent kit of this hugely overlooked aircraft. I can't believe no manufacturer did one of these before.

I shall now return to the rock under which I have been hiding since the dawn of plastic model kits.

Well, they announced the trio of kits forthcoming in 1/32. The P-51B/C one of the others...which is great for e.g. the Shangri-La scheme of Don Gentile.

While they are at it, they may think about re-issuing the TA-152 series...those sold like hot cakes too and now go fro 400+ USD on eBay...

IIRC the announcement back then consisted of three subjects: P-51 B/C, Bf 109 G-6 and Arado 234. Taken into account that design and knowledge on subject specialist of the aggregated subjects are VERY limited and a little knowledge in the GUESSWHO circus leads to the conclusion that we will see the highest class of correctness.

Quite happy with the Dragon E, but if ZM do anything from the A-D line, I'll go for them. Can't help thinking it will be the usual G-6 though.

P-51B? Now that's also got my interest.

Yes,but considering the time it passes between they announcing a kit and actually releasing it, that P-40 wont see the light of day probably before 2027 or 2028. Like the Fw190,which I think they have shown a very early 3D mockup of just the fuselage and the first boxart of an A-4 some 4 years ago at the US IPMS Nationals. And first news of that release was 7 years ago! And they have done that with other releases. Surprisingly, they haven't taken the same heat and criticism AMK took for taking so long to release the Tomcat.

According to someone I know who has seen it tooling and test shots are complete.

Edit, my mistake, I’m confusing GWH’s P -40 with ZM.

Huge error on my part, I have ZM and GWH crossed.
