Nicky_t
So this one is part of the the way through the build, base coat has already been applied and ready for weathering:- The base kit is Academy's M-51, I've added Eduard's etched detailing set and also added some bits from Legend's resin stowage set. I'm surprised how wide the running gear is on this!!
Bullbasket
Nice work. It's not a bad kit, but just a shame that they made the muzzle brake oversize. Good luck with the weathering. John.
vytautas
It looks great, and a very interesting-looking tank. And as always great details Vytautas
Nicky_t
It's been sitting on a shelf in my workshop for a while now so I best get it finished: - Base layers done and ready for some more weathering
RHWinter
Beautiful!! The IDF M-51 probably is my most favourite version of the Sherman. How is this kit? Did you post a build-log?
spruecutter96
You've got to love an IDF Super Sherman! I read years ago that, during extended firing, the Israeli crews would often put the tank in neutral and let the whole thing absorb the recoil from the gun. Thanks for sharing with us. Did you post a build-log? The kit itself wasn't too much hassle to put together, only thing that I had real issues with was the fit between the gun mantlet cover and the mantlet itself. I ended up chopping 5mm out the plastic around the bottom to widen it.
