Learning to fly the Chinese way.

Hi folk's,my build fits in with my 1/32 groove at the moment and an aircraft I had never seen or heard of before,

a nicely molded kit and one of Trumpeters early releases it scales out about the size of a Spitfire seems to be a

straightforward breakdown of parts too.I'll crack on with this then if time permits I have the mighty SR 71 Blackbird

in the stash waiting to be built.

Welcome along, these are a bit of a favourite of the warbird flyers out here. Usually 3 or 4 turn up to most airshows.

Thank's Brad, yes I was looking at images of these aircraft and they do seem a favourite of private owners.

Hi  @stevej60

If your Blackbird is also 1/32 that's going to be mightily impressive  !

Best of luck

Cheers Pat

Sadly it's in good old 1/72 scale Pat but something in the bigger scale might come along!

I've had the opportunity to shoot a few of those in various markings.

Hope these might be of some help either as reference or as simple inspiration.

Great photo's you could have some fun making up your own scheme too!

A start on the cockpit made, about fifteen parts make up this first stage.

Hi folk's,cockpit painted and detailed.

I built the wings over the weekend without hassle,a dry fit shows a snug fit so tomorrow I'll glue them in place.

Hi Steve, I though I just left a post but it's vanished so if for some reason this appears twice, apologies. The post said that the 1/32 caught my eye and what a great start you've made; the cockpit looks great. Cheers. Nigel

That looks rather nice Steve. It's going to need a fair bit of weight up front!

There's a fair size "sinker" weight in there Z she should sit upright now!

Hi folk's I thought I'd save time not putting the engine in as loose panels never look good on these kits but the only way to fit the

cowling is around the engine so it is in there!
