AZ Models Spitire T.8 1/72nd.  KIt decals. HUmbrol 47 for the blue.  G-AIDN finished in one of the schemes the sole T.8 wore in private hands. This case it was the Hampshire Aero Club.

Italeri 1/35 1/4ton. 4x4 Ambulance Jeep

Built OOB in one of the kit's decal options, for a jeep of the 2nd Armored Division, US Army in Normandy, June 1944.

A simple build, really just a few extra parts for a Jeep . . .

And that's done!

I may have a go at a veteran car before this GB ends. Just depends- I've got a "Twin-engined" GB starting next week elsewhere, that I'm doing a target tanky thing for, we'll have to wait and see . . .

This has been one of my all time favourite builds, Airfix's 1:72 Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk.V in BOAC freighter markings.

Second build for this Group Build is an Academy Tupolev Tu144S in 1/360 scale, painted as CCCP-77102 which was the aircraft that sadly crashed at the 1973 Paris Airshow.

The build was not the easiest, but it went quickly. Decals are rather inaccurate but surprisingly applied quite well despite being 30 years old. Just going to ignore the lack of underwing serials.... They aren't included. Or more accurately, overwing ones aren't but I put the underwing ones on the top of the wing because I'd rather have them missing underneath where I'm less likely to see it all the time. The blue stripes on the wing and underside of the front of the fuselage were painted because there are no decals no those either. Probably should have just spent a day or two designing my own to use...

Here is my out of the box Revell (ex-Matchbox) 1/72 Twin Otter, in the markings of Royal Nepal Airlines, transfers courtesy of Paul Parkes 682 decals. No corrections or modifications were attempted in this build, that lot is for another time, another model! I had fun with it.

Hi. :D
This is my Tu-134UBL painted in the Russian Navy's colours.
The kit is from Zvezda built OOB, and it's been brush painted with AKAN acrylics.
All in all this was a very pleasant build with really no problem spots at all.
Hopefully Zvezda will release some more Russian heavies in 1/144.

About 30 years ago I still had a decent sized model railway layout which was originally "set" in the area around Bradford where I was born - ex LMS and LNER! My wife bought me a Tower Models Bradford bus kit but it never got built until now. It is an AEC Regent RT built for London Transport originally, and Bradford City Transport used more normal Regents - the Mk 3 in my day, but they did buy a batch of RT's second hand and I travelled on them quite frequently on my way too and from school between 1960 and 1967, so I have painted it as I remember them - maybe not quite right as nobody makes the correct colours these days but it is the best I could do. It was not a very good kit, but then it was a limited run type operation I assume. I have bludgeoned it into shape though the fit leaves a lot to be desired, as does my painting.

DSC05197-crop DSC05195-crop DSC05194-crop DSC05192-crop

The blue is actually a bit "greener" like the real thing in some lighting. I believe BCT retired them about the time I left school and went to Uni but I gather this particular one is preserved.

It brings back a lot of memories, most of them happy - particularly when it had this destination board up as it meant it was taking me home! Bradford is on the edge of the Pennines and sits at the bottom of a natural "bowl" surrounded by hills - my journey of 4 miles involved a climb of around 600ft. Just noticed I need to do a little more painting on the window frames!

Cheers

Pete

No story behind this vignette! I just fancied making a small airliner, the Eastern Express An28 kit was available at a good price and the Unarmed GB was nigh.

It needed quite a bit of work to get everything looking right and I think it is sitting too high on its wheels, but at least the decals were good.

Accessorised with the Eastern Express airstairs (with lots of Vallejo weathering paints) and a repainted N Gauge container alongside some Presier figures.

Thanks for the fun GB, got me my first airliner on the shelf.

Science Treasury Isuzu TX-40 Fuel Truck

Only the second vehicle I've built in many years so really enjoyed it. Top tip buy the Hasegawa boxing as its molded better, has instructions that make sense without invented words, and you can follow them !

My third entry into the group build will be another Tupolev Tu144 representing RA-77114 in storage at Zhukovsky in about 2006 or so. It's the ICM 1/144 scale Tu144 with aftermarket decals

8Ssyms 80t Rail wagon - 1/72nd Scale (T-Model)

German rail wagon constructed to transport Tiger tanks - Wagon by T-Model, Tiger is the new Airfix offering modified for rail transport by rearranging the wheels and tracks to bring the load within the loading gauge. Additional chains, chocks and locating sleepers added to tie the load down - Full width tracks stored under the tank courtesy of a 1/76th Airfix Tiger.

Airbrushed in panzer grey but I can't remember which product I used!

Nice kit that builds up well and comes with additional etch, a steel load bed, self adhesive wood veneer and track sections - Plus there's two in the box!
