Modelholic
I'm trying to accurately cut some 5/16" styrene tube into 3.5mm lengths (I'll need around 20 pieces for 1/350 20mm gun tubs) I've been using a cordless drill as a lathe but it's just not accurate enough. Any ideas? TIA Tom
Black Knight
You can buy a pipe/tube cutter for such small sizes https://hobby.uk.com/k-s-tubing-cutter.html cheaper versions are available
Black Knight
PS. On such short lengths I use my pipe cutter to just start the cut around the tube then I finish by the 'rolling under a blade' method. The pre-cut groove keeps the knife blade true
krow113
Scribing with a caliper can work . Then the 'roll' method to cut.
