leyreynolds
I'm looking for drawings/photo's/histories for any of these boats, built for the French Navy and taken over by the RN in 1940.
Arjan
Hi, I take it you know these sites : https://atf40.1fr1.net/t3814-les-vedettes-lance-torpilles-francaises-en-1940 http://www.belgian-navy.be/t5480-vedettes-lance-torpilles-francaises-1940 https://www.yalumba.co.uk/Framesets/British Power Boat Co - Page 4, MGBs.html This may well be one of the French boats finished /converted in Britain : Regards, Arjan Edited April 9, 2021 by Arjan
leyreynolds
No I didn't know of them. Thanks, they look very informative. I think the CH boats were built in French yards and were somewhat larger than most RN MGB's - 120' long and 120 tons or thereabout and may have had steel hulls. Arjan
Hi Ley, My mistake, I now realize you were looking for info about the French submarine chasers which escaped/were taken to Britain. Hence the abbreviation "CH" I didn't recognize (CHasseur de sous-marin). I'm sorry but I don't know anything about sub chasers. http://www.archeosousmarine.net/chasseur16.php https://www.navypedia.org/ships/france/fr_es_ch5.htm Regards, Arjan Edited April 9, 2021 by Arjan
