sanfrandragon
This is a diorama I’m working on. I have a Tamiya 88 pretty much finished and 7 crew from AC models. The base is made of plaster from Great North Roads. So far I’ve just done some basic painting. The idea is to create a scene of severe street fighting and devastation. I have some bits and pieces such as boxes, furniture, broken telegraph poles and extra rubble and dust to add and I’m looking for some suitable wallpaper to finish the inside of the buildings. Any ideas for adding that extra bit of detail or finish would be most welcome.

Only one I know of with a 'bricks and mortar' shop is in Helmsley, North Yorkshire. Don't know if they do mail order, as the shop is very small. May be worth checking out. Badder
Looks great so far! For wallpaper and wall posters while you're at it, just google patterns and images and print them off. If you don't have a printer, a mate, or a printing shop can do it for you if you save the images on a USB. There are plenty of images online. I printed off some checkerboard black and white floor tiles for my building and miniaturized a photo of a real oil painting to hang on the wall for another. Also, you could do the same for newspaper pages and scatter those around and about. You can never have too much litter in an urban war dio! So, on that note, a broken bicycle or motorbike, a wrecked child's pram, some shoes/boots (just cut them off old unwanted figures), telegraph lines laying across the road, and draped over buildings, torn curtains, old mattresses, bedding and furniture, broken glass, and heaps more rubble around the bases of the walls of the buildings, and inside them. Oh and get yourself a load of wooden coffee stirrers which, with a bit of snipping, are great for floorboards. Yes, absolutely the road itself can remain clear as residents and/or military would have cleared them at some point. Hope that helps. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. sanfrandragon
Great ideas thanks, Badder, exactly along the lines of what I was thinking, and thanks for pointing me in the direction of some free wallpaper!

Available direct from the manufacturer in Holland, or on this link to Historex Agents in the UK. https://historexagents.com/#product-gallery

sanfrandragon
Gun and figures finished, I’m working on the rest. I haven’t added any rubble or brick dust yet, just playing around with composition. I’d be interested in any suggestions?
