Troy Smith
Saw this on Indian Scale Modellers, great work, one comment.... would not the field applied brown paint have obscured the blue factory stencils? Time to pester Eduard to a do a proper MiG-21 FL boxing, apparently their Indian AF special wa the worst selling of the MiG-21 boxings, but that didn't have an FL either....

Hi Sir, actually the IAF never had blue stencils, always black. But the Eduard Profipack PF only has the blue ones so............ Yes, Eduard should do an FL boxing, it was used in the Arab Countries as well and addition of an Indian Marking would be the icing.

The Indian Air Force FLs all had grey cockpits just like the PFs, the grey is Tamiya XF-19 Sky Grey. Decals are from BrightSpark and serials are printed at home on a plain decal sheet. Sadly mine have an adverse reaction to water! :(. I have printed more via Arctic Decals, which will help me with my 1/72 FL and the Su-7BMK Martin

I’d be happy with a bis in 1/72 :). At least a FL can be achieved by some amalgamation. Eduard say they have no plans for a bis and, as you say Troy, no intention of producing anything in Indian markings, despite India being the biggest Overseas operator of the Fishbed. If the 1/48 Indian boxing was such a flop where are all the unsold kits?! Shame. Martin
