Ratch
At 1600 hours on 23rd March 1945 the 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry took part in Operation Plunder. The Regimental task was to deliver the 154 Infantry Brigade on to the East bank of the Rhine, two and a half miles upstream from Emmerich. Subsequently, the Regiment had to run a continuous ferry service over the Rhine, carrying supporting arms and vehicles, ammunition and petrol, reserves and special supplies, to build up a bridgehead.
Ratch
It is the Italeri 1/35 LVT-4 Water Buffalo with AFV Club tracks. Figures by Tamiya and stowage from my spares box. The base has a mix of scatters and natural detritus.
stevehnz
Looks good Ratch. At first I thought the Bren gunner in the last photo had a Boys, then realised it was a trick of perspective. There is some nice detail work in this dio. Lots to see at leisure. Steve.

Ratch
Thanks for the positive feedback chaps. I'm glad you appreciate the small details I've crammed in. It was a while in the building, I started it last October and the replacement of the tracks was very time consuming, but I got there 😁

Johnny Tip
This was certainly worth all the work on the tracks!
