Silver Beau,.....  another one from the Australia/New Zealand GB,...... this  1/72nd Hasegawa Beaufighter Mk.21 has been built as A8-196, EH-D of 31 Sqn, RAAF, Morotai, 1945 using DK Decals, although the MPM boxing of the Hasegawa kit did include this scheme too. The model was painted using a Tamiya rattle can, the WIP is here;

Very nice! I’ve never considered the Beaufighter to be attractive, but I’ve changed my mind —  It looks quite nice in silver.

Thanks mate,...... the Beau is brutish,...... but it does look nice in silver and there were quite a few silver aircraft to choose from in the RAF & RAAF...

Gorgeous mate, great photo's too, love that last one with all 4 together :)

Thanks Neil,..... I need to build an Aussie Mk.Ic in green and brown now to make a full set of `official' RAAF schemes,...... I only have one in 1/48th scale. Then there are the unofficial green and grey schemes too!!

Truly beautiful work!

Also love the 'pose' shots in front of the photo of the real thing...one of my own favorite presentation 'tricks.'

Thanks mate,..... yeah it was rude not to, especially as I had printed the photo off to use as reference during the build.

Thats turned out beautifully Tony and makes a great contrast to the other three excellent Aussie Beau’s on display. She looks good in Silver, actually the Beaufighter tends to look good in any colour doesn’t it?

Cheers and well modelled.. Dave
