This might be your first model on here Eric but you can tell that you have thrown a bit of glue and paint around before.....!!!

Beautiful model, thanks for sharing it with us all.

Good morning all,

I thank you for your kindly messages.

I built this model at the end of last year, but I wanted to present it to you to confirm the idea that I appreciate this plane.

Hello, Phil.

I am indeed not a novice, although I still have a lot to learn.

I like your expression throw paint and glue!

I trained quite a bit!

That is a wonderful build and a great first post! I do love the weathering and diorama.....just brilliant.

The Revell B-17 is a fabulous kit isn't it?

Hello, binbrook.

I agree with you, the Revell model is very good.

The ultimate model of the B17 does not exist yet, but this one has my preference. I previously appreciated the Académy version, which offers a lot of possibilities (Although there are

some mistakes to be corrected).

I am currently building another Revell and an Airfix; I do a bit of a comparison, and I was quite surprised by the similarity of the design;

For example I am not at all convinced by the astrodoma which is identical on these two models.

I have grafted an Académy astrodome cast on My Dévotion, and I will do the same on both under construction.

I try to take correct photos to better sell my product.

We dress well when we get married.

Lol!🙃

Here are other pictures of my diorama:

The cleveland tractor is a much improved resin print.

The Federal 605 is a truck that we see more on US airfields than the Autocar proposed by Airfix.

thank you again for your comments

Hi Snafu35

Great looking dio!

Quick one on the fuel truck - the last photo shows two different trailers - one is Airfix’s F-1 with the Autocar, but what’s the one with the flat sides towed by the Federal 605?

And more importantly, where did you get it?

Many thanks

Neil

Glad to see this post revived as I missed it the first time around.  A wonderfully done Fortress with just the right amount of weathering.  Looks great.  Thanks for sharing.

Hello,

I'm glad to see this post back in the news.
I built this B17 more than three years ago, now
My Flying fortresses collection has grown since then, and now I'll be able to play the Master of the Air TV series!

Hi, ND417

I dressed an F1 Airfix trailer by looking at photos:

So I have a more varied fleet of fuel supply trucks, now:

Hi Eric

Thanks for getting back to me.

Superb effort on the trailer - you have set the bar high!

I’m gonna order me a Federal 605 kit and an Airfix F-1 trailer and see if I can do it justice.

Great stuff!

Cheers

Hello Neil,

I wanted to enjoy myself above all, and that Is why I took the time to build this fairing F1 trailer.
As you can see, this modification is easy to do.

And I would be extremely flattered if you could get hold of one or more copies of Fédéral 605, because... I'm the author!

To impress a friend who loves this truck, I thought that i would build one and duplicate it in resin.

I started by doing some research and drawing up some plans,

dscf5514.jpg

dscf5510.jpg

I used a REO XS-28 profile too, and added a correct cabin, a correct bumper, air brake cylinders, starter motor...

( I now know almost everything about this Federal truck, which was also built by REO, Biderman, Sterling... :book: :smartass: )

I thought of the construction as a model maker for other model makers.

6110.jpg

Then I met a French craftsman who makes magnificent castings.

( Note that the craftsman did not keep my wheels.)

6610.jpg

Oh yeeah, the Hercules HXD engine is here too!

It became an obsession to build the truck you can see on US airfields in the UK.

6711.jpg

And last year I completed the collection by offering the Federal 6066-C2 with curved crane and the 606 D with eighteen-feet crane:

This is not my job, and I do not advertise on my behalf. The product belongs to the French craftsman DESKit and he is offering it for sale.

It is not a 3D-printed product, just good resin that does not break very much. And if you watch the series Master of the Air, you will probably see some on the airfield that represents Thorpe Abbot...

Sorry if this message is too long or if you consider it inappropriate, you can delete it.

Have fun in modeling.

Regards,

Eric-Snafu35

A superb fleet of trucks & service vehicles!
The diorama work is outstanding.

Beautiful B-17 build too!

I’m most impressed.
