These have certainly been fighting you all the way, but looks like your showing them who's boss!

Coming together nicely now

Something to remember about those PE inserts. But you, sir, are conquering them wings and leading the way!

Thanks Roger and Thom - testing my patience it is! :)

Obviously, if they're going to be in a museum, I want them to be smooooth.

Some hope (fnaar!) :)

Some more patience used up:

No masking mojo today but I caught up my wings with Jim's:

Ailerons next, then it's on to the engines - more parts than some kits!

Lovely catch up Mr B. I’ve not had much time for modelling or BM over the past few days. Reading through ze morning threads is giving one a mojo boost. Thanks. 😊

The twins are looking fantastic by the way.

Nice to hear I'm boosting your mojo Jont - I've finally had some of my own today :)

Thanks Erwin, kind of you :)

I finally got some masking mojo and (re)painted the bottoms:

Better.

As is my wont I'll be brushing / scrubbing on the AK paste so the next job is to mask and paint the various ODs.

I concur with my learned colleague Giorgio there Ced.  Those baby aeroplanes are pretty darned impressive looking too

Thanks hendie - did you miss the build? Not surprised if, like me, you look at the title to decide if you want to read the thread. "Otto's Mobile - Some 1/144 Builds" doesn't draw much attention does it? Wrong scale for a start… :)

Ditto.  I blinked and missed their creation......:D

Crikey Steve, that was a long blink… even considering the Scottish* trip!

* Scotland / Scot / Scotch** delete as applicable.

** OK, that was there just to annoy the Scots.

I don't think much is going to get done today as we're in the final stages of the decorating / plumbing.

I'm not doing it, of course - no spurts with experts!

I did though order two pairs of taps, wastes and a bath shower screen online.

I should have known when they were despatched 'via Palletways' that this might happen:

Cripes.

I have been pondering the masking though.

Tricky.

I wondered why the 'scheme' was so complicated so I Googled 'Little Miss Mischief' and found that:

"Aircraft suffered significant damage, and was repaired with parts from another aircraft, to include the fuselage rear of the radio room, and the right outer wing. Various cowlings were replaced as well, creating a colorful and diverse aircraft. Repair is said to have included parts from 13 different aircraft to keep Little Miss Mischief airworthy. Main fuselage parts added believed to have come from "Walleroo Mk. 2" from 303rd BG, serial number 42-31405."

That'll be it then.

Thanks Rob, Bill and Stew - kind of you mates :)

I'm trying to have a relaxing day and looking forward to some real food without frowns from SWMBO!

Fish and chips tonight, beef fillet with roadies tomorrow.

Hopefully I'll have digested that in a few days…
