Texan / Harvard reference

Recommended Posts

Just a note...a quick search on Wings Palette has shown some very interesting paint jobs and in-the-field markings, particularly during the Congo Crisis and the Nigerian/Biafran conflict.  It'll give a certain amount of legroom with markings, etc...It makes a change from the usual NATO or South American members...

I have photographed many Texan/Harvard/SNJ aircraft and will share some of my shots here --- hopefully something will be an inspiration for the nice projects I see underway.

Please note: these are from museums and air shows so use your own judgement as far as reference.

G'day people,

I need to know the wheel well colour for HAF T-6Gs please?

I cannot find any clear pics of this area and I am leaning towards the same colour as the exterior finish, i.e. not Interior Grey Green (IGG) as the u/c legs and from what I can make out the inside of the gear doors is also the same colour as the exterior.

Would it be safe to  assume this inside of the flap wells would also be the same as the gear wells?

Pappy

Some inspiration from the Australian warbirds scene - first up, the Harvards. Always seems remarkable to me that there are so many here considering Australia didn't use them!
