sapperastro Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I stumbled across this news post, and the first picture got my attention straight away. https://asiatimes.com/2021/03/myanmar-military-flexes-and-preens-amid-a-bloodbath/ Lloyd carriers, Comet tanks, Dingoes, Humber armoured cars...all with white walled tyres! I was wondering, are these part of a 'historical walkthrough'? or is their military actually this outdated?
Kingsman Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 These are preserved historic vehicles from less controversial times. Operational equipment is more modern and of Russian, Chinese and N Korean origin.
dcrfan Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 (edited) Surely a T16 or Windsor not Lloyd carrier. Still digging for the Spitfires 😛 Edited March 28, 2021 by dcrfan
Mike Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 It's a horrendous situation over there in Myanmar, but please don't bring politics into it. One member has already gone for a lie-down for a month because he thought the rules didn't apply, so please - just discuss the vehicles on display and leave comments on the state of affairs over there (aka politics) out of it. Thank you.
