Cadman
One of my major peeves with white metal kits is the soft bendy-wendy sword, spears, axes, etcetera that come with the kits. If you're unlucky enough to bend them out of shape, or even worse, accidentally break them off, then they're a pure pain in the...umm...neck, to repair. So when I got the opportunity to import some 1:18 scale steel Katana blades from Russia, it was a case of "In Like Flynn" to replace the kit items. In addition, with the sub-base being only 200mm diameter I reckoned three figures and the remaining tree were still too much clutter for such a small vignette. So all the superfluous stuff got its marching orders, and to be perfectly honest, I reckon the scenario looks so much better now it's been cut down to focus solely on the two protagonists. This is where the vignette now sits on display in our living room. And after all that camera work, plus the post-image crop and re-size tweaking, I'm ready for one or two of these other fine Russian imports that the proprietors of our local corner shop have recently started to get their hands on...😋... ...while I watch "The Seven Samurai" yet again...😄 Edited March 27, 2021 by Cadman 16

If it was up to me, I would have this vignette sitting permanently on that coffee table, but The Dragon Lady put her foot down and told me not to be so stupid, (or words to that effect)...😢 On reflection, it's probably much safer, both for the figures and me, that it's displayed where it is...😎 Edited April 14, 2021 by Cadman

Badder
Hi Harry, YES, it definitely looks more natural with just 2 figures. Now you have 2 to use elsewhere! Win, win. Yest to the 'footstool' base (apologies if that's NOT what it is) Yes to the 7 samurai, and yes to the beer. I had my first drop of beer in almost a year today! 1 can lasted me 7 hrs. lol. I will try to catch up with your other work when I can. TC Rearguards, Badder
