I noticed the reboxed Hobby2000 F-111 was initially set at a similar 69 euros but ended up at 49.

I don’t think so because the megastore has changed the price as it was at a preliminary price of 42,95....

TheyJammedKenny!
It looks beautiful on the sprues! Too bad there's no cargo floor, but what appears to be a rear bulkhead. The clear parts are similarly split as those on the Williams Brothers kit. I guess there's no other way to get around it.

As I have a few Williams kits I compared them. I have a guess that they used the Williams kit as a basis as most parts (Wings and stabilisers) are exactly the same size and I can fit the Williams right cockpit glass part in the Valom one! The left one does not fit but that is particularly due to the fact that the Williams is not symmetrical designed as the left is a little longer . You have a good chance that the vacform glass from squadron will fit. Front engine cowling ring is also exactly the same fit and setup but the air intakes are a bit different. The grey is the Williams part. a If I mate up the fuselage parts the Valom is a little shorter and the front nose contour is altered a bit. The floor of the Williams can be made to fit as well. Finally the windows are very crisp and on the right places in the fuselage, this is something I could compare with a template that is included in the Lima November decalset for the Fred Olsen C46. In the end they made up a very good Commando and it probably is a somewhat easyer built than the Williams which is still a good kit. cheers, Jan

Cheers Colin 😂 true but the Williams isn’t an easy one and has some difficult area’s in which the Valom allready looks better... However I did not started it so maybe there are some surprises 🙃 cheer, Jan
TEXANTOMCAT
Interesting.... a little sharper version of the WB kit it seems which isn’t an easy build but can be done. The biggest problem was with the canopy I found so I used a Falcon replacement- from what I see here it will be necessary for this too TT

TEXANTOMCAT
Yep but you still have the central seam to deal with between the two parts which was gaping on the WB kit- plus it’s a very visible cockpit on the full size. If the Valom clear parts fit well and are thin and clear no probs otherwise the one part Falcon is the way to go 👍

Corky
Now we just need the 3 blade propellors for the C-46. Buffalo Airways which I am planning has the them. I did inquire. Valom doesn't have them in any of the kits. I was fortunate that a fellow modeller sent me the props from a Williams kit.
