binbrook87
Hello All Latest off the workbench is this Italeri 1/72 F-4C/D/J 'Phantom Aces' kit built OOB apart from the decals, which came from an old Microscale sheet to depict an AFRES machine from the 73rd TFS based at Homestead in the early 1980s. The kit was pretty good all round as its lineage is I think from the old Esci moulds which have stood up pretty well. The paints were a mix of Tamiya and Mr Hobby, the decals unfortunately were in a bad condition and needed repairing with some Microsol decal film. I love these old C and D phantoms at the end of their careers, where they started to adopt some semi low viz markings, wraparound and experimental camouflage and ADC Grey, making the variations quite varied and colourful. Thanks for looking, comments as always much appreciated

Paulaero
Great finish, the Esci kits have really stood the test of time to say they were released in 1983 ....
